Diploma in Business Overview

A diploma education in Business will provide you with a fast track route into Year 3 of the University of Glasgow's MA in Social Sciences (Business and Management). The Business diploma education will equip you with subject related knowledge, together with English Language capabilities and higher level study skills, designed to ensure that you progress with confidence and every chance of success.

Business Diploma Entry Criteria

To gain entry onto this course and gain your diploma education you will either have completed the Foundation Certificate in Business at Glasgow International College, or you will have achieved an equivalent qualification. Equivalent qualifications must include some study of Economics.

Quantitative Methods for Business and Management
Business Economics in a Global Environment
Business Information Systems
Marketing in the Operational Context
Strategy and Business Development
Economic and Social History

You enter the Diploma course directly (ie without having taken the Foundation Certificate first) you will take two additional Academic Skills workshops.

English Language tuition (Pre-sessional English) is also provided for students who need it.

After successfully completing the Diploma in Business, you will progress to Year 3 of MA Social Sciences (Business and Management) at the University of Glasgow.

Progression to the University of Glasgow is guaranteed provided you successfully complete the Foundation Business Certificate and the Diploma in Business at the required level stated in your offer letter.
