Academic support services during your overseas education

Learning Support Tutor - Your personal advisor

As you receive your overseas education you will meet your Learning Support Tutor once every two weeks in the first term and once every month when you are settled. The Learning Support Tutor's job is to discuss the progress that you make in class and to encourage you to develop a disciplined, effective study habit ready for the University of Glasgow.

Study towards a degree: the goal of your overseas education

At Glasgow International College the courses and education the Tutors develop with you is focused on the aim of your eventual progression. Our College will arrange visits to your progression department and will host their staff for information sessions and activities. Glasgow International College will also discuss your progression options as your course results become available and your interests develop during your overseas education.

Adjusting to an overseas education

Classes at Glasgow International College are smaller and more personalised than standard UK university lectures, and we will help you focus your efforts in class. You will get to know your tutor and classmates quickly so that you can feel confident about participating.

Assessments and reports...

As a part of your overseas education you will need to get used to a different system of assessment. Assessments will take place throughout your education the term and duration of your course. Glasgow International College is designed with your personal growth in mind, and to help you improve your education the College will produce mid-term reports to give written evidence of your progress so far.
